Crystal Pepsi died in 1993.
It shouldn't have.
In 1992, PepsiCo launched Crystal Pepsi — a transparent cola with no artificial colors. It was the most successful new beverage launch in history. Then Coca-Cola released Tab Clear, a kamikaze product designed to poison the entire clear cola category.
It worked. Both products disappeared. But the idea was sound — consumers wanted something cleaner, lighter, more honest than dark cola.
The market of 2026 is ready. The craft beverage infrastructure exists. The consumer base is label-literate and design-conscious. And nobody is making a clear cola worth buying.
Until now.
